2057 units worth Rs. 358 crore setup in the State under Mukhyamantri Swavlamban Yojna: Industries Minister
Shimla. State Government is committed to provide all possible assistance to industrialists interested to setup industries in the State and efforts are being made to involve such people in development of the State. This was stated by Industries Minister Bikram Singh here today while presiding over the review meeting of Industries department. Industries Minister said that several effective steps have been taken for industrial development in the State. Various schemes are being implemented by the State Government to encourage investment. Himachal Pradesh is in 7th position in Ease of Doing Business in the country. Awareness activities are being implemented through radio, print and social media to promote Ease of Doing Business. A land bank has been created by the State Government to establish industries in the State under which 1775 Bigha land is available. In addition to this, about 5000 Bigha land will be available soon after FCA clearance. He said that 2nd ground breaking ceremony would be organised soon under Global Investors Meet and till date 138 MOUs of Rs. 7367 crore have been signed. About 80 projects of worth Rs. 1236 crore have been sanctioned through single window clearance, which has provided employment to 3814 people in the State.
Bikram Singh said that 2057 units worth Rs. 358 crore have been setup in the State under Mukhyamantri Swavlamban Yojna. Under the scheme, subsidy of Rs. 131.11 crore has been provided and employment has been provided to 6305 people under the scheme. Under the Chief Minister’s Start-up Scheme, 8 start-ups have been approved for seed funding of Rs. 2 crore. Total 32 start-ups have been approved from the incubation centers under the scheme and Rs. 25,000 per month is being provided to each start up. Additional Chief Secretary Industries Ram Subhag Singh gave details of various activities being carried out by the department. He said that materials and services are being procured through Government e-Marketplace (GeM) by government departments, boards, corporation etc. About 2562 consumers are registered with GeM portal and 10780 distributors of the State are registered in this portal. The State Government is imparting training to 1492 officers and officials and 280 local companies in regards to GeM.
He said that Mega Food Park with an investment of about Rs. 100 crore was being setup in district Una. Prime Minister Formulisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme was also be implemented in the State and in five years Rs. 54.57 crore have been provided under the scheme. Director Industries Rakesh Prajapati presented vote of thanks and assured that the department would make every effort for success of the government schemes. Senior officers of the department were also present on the occasion.
